As a people’s person, you have a keen sense of emotional intelligence and can communicate with anyone from the most junior to the most senior members of an organization with ease. You take ownership of and drive projects forward understanding the role of various stakeholders and know what resources to pull-in to achieve a certain outcome. You partner with various departments within our organization (business development, brand development, creative and senior leadership) and beyond our organization (agency, client and research partners, vendors and contractors) to strategically define the sound of our clients and manage projects from kick-off through integration. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be focused on creating trusting and long-lasting client relationships, offering a strategic lens to creative development, providing internal and external project management and identifying new business opportunities. With your positive attitude, a professional approach and time management & communications skills, you seamlessly juggle multiple deadlines in a mostly remote environment. This position will work out of the NYC office.

You will be a key member of, and collaborator with, the Client Services Department (CX) and you will report to the Group Account Director.

about the client success department

The Client Experience team takes pride in leading MMS client projects from kick-off through successful delivery and implementation. This involves engaging stakeholders (internal, client and partner), building trusting relationships, understanding and anticipating needs and proactively handling all project communications, planning and logistics to consistently exceed our clients’ expectations. We champion our clients, partners and internal teams and guide the process with the goal of creating long-lasting sonic equity that clients and audiences love.


your core responsibilities…

Sonic Brand Strategy Development

Support the CS staff in defining, communicating and executing the successful day to day and overall running of assigned projects

Under supervision of CS staff, work closely and collaboratively with Producer partner and supporting Client Success team member

Manage scheduling and support in the creation of client facing timelines, production schedule & project goals

Take notes during kick-off calls, attend brand immersion meetings, participate in stakeholder interviews. Prepare agendas and client-facing materials, including briefs and decks. Submit recap emails or contact reports.

Successfully follow internal file management process and organization.

Consistently demonstrate ability to move into problem-solving mode whenever challenges or concerns arise.

Client + Partner Relationship Management

Manage the client relationship daily and over time, whether it be inputting on client strategy, managing deliverables expectations, reviewing creative and guiding decision making, or coordinating production to meet client deadlines. Present to clients during key meetings.

Support department in successful flow of information between Client Success & Creative departments

Help maintain status documents or project management software

Flag project concerns and propose solutions when possible

Proactively bring offering ideas when possible

Client Success Departmental Support

Support Team in defining and achieving client experience department goals on an annual and quarterly basis.

MMS Inter-Departmental Support

Proactively support Production, Operations, Business Development and Brand Development departments within MMS to realize shared goals.

Monitor project schedules and budgets, flagging concerns and proposing solutions when possible, assisting with select new client proposals and working to uncover and crystallize client storytelling opportunities.

you have…

1 – 3 years of work experience with a background in project management preferred (writing, advertising, agencies, performing arts, PR, media…surprise us)

Excellent communication skills, able to navigate interdepartmental stakeholders, clients and partners.

Passion in music, business strategy, building relationships and big ideas

perks and benefits

This is a full-time position based out of our NYC Financial District studio. In-studio attendance will be required every Wednesday and one additional Tuesday the first week of every month or as required by management. The in-studio schedule may be revised at the company’s discretion.

Travel may be necessary and in-person client meetings and entertainment are essential if required by management.

MMS is piloting a 4-day workweek, our business hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm. While we hope to adopt this schedule permanently, we are still evaluating its effectiveness and may revert to a more traditional 5-day schedule in the future.

22 PTO days (along with bonus incentives to use your PTO days) and 5 sick days, no matter your experience level or seniority.

We cover 50% of your (and your spouse’s/domestic partner’s, if needed) medical, vision and dental plans.

Made Music Studio is a 100% vaccinated team. Employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless they have a medical exemption. If they are eligible, a booster is also required.
